The district office is open for registration. If possible, please get in and provide documentation for residency and paperwork. We know that many have entered into new and unique financial situations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please know that you are able to simply turn in registration and prove residency and then take care of registration fees later. If you need assistance, please let them know at District Office at (815) 645 2230. More information for incoming Kinder families will continue to be sent out!

(5/28/20) Incoming Kindergarten Cardinals!

We cannot wait to have you join our Highland crew! We’re out for summer, but we’re getting ready for you to come and join us. Please keep an eye out for updated information about registration and Kindergarten screening.

Attached is some “prep” resources that may help you and your child prepare for Kindergarten. Kindergarten is an incredible time for our kiddos and it’s incredible to watch the amount of growth that they make. With that said, we want to make sure that your children are as prepared as possible coming in. Please see the information below for some ways that you can help prepare your child for coming into Kindergarten.

Kindergarten "Prep" Resources

Incoming Kinder Families!

While these unprecedented times have undoubtedly thrown a hitch in so many of our plans, we wanted to make sure that we let you know how excited we are to have your kiddos here at Highland next year. We're sad that we weren't able to have kinder kickoff back in March and unfortunately it looks like we're still a ways off from being able to all get together. But, we have a plan.

In the coming weeks, watch for an informational video about what the first year of Kindergarten will look like for your kiddos. It also includes some information about things to think about, things to do to help prepare your kiddo for kinder, and some answers to common questions.

Next, we are hopeful that we will be able to have a kinder kickoff/screening event for our incoming Kindergarten students. We are tentatively planning on a time in early August, prior to school starting, but will communicate out more solid dates as we get closer and are better able to ensure the safety of all in attendance.

Finally, I know that we’ve had some asking about school supplies for the upcoming school year. We partner through 1st Day School Supplies and you can find our supply list through this link (https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/).

Once again, we cannot wait for your kiddos to be a part of our Highland family. Please feel free to reach out to Mr. Mullikin if you have any questions at any time (jmullikin@mail.meridian223.org or 815 520 0893).

Thank you
